CALTCM’s Annual Meeting is packed with timely and thought-provoking content beginning on Thursday, October 23, with two specialized pre-summit tracks tailored for clinical leaders: an in-depth exploration of wound care best practices and the beloved Medicolegal Summit addressing liability risks and strategies for navigating the increasingly complex legal landscape in SNFs.
On Friday & Saturday, October 24 - 25, you'll hear a dynamic keynote presentation on the Future of PALTC, followed by real-world ethical case reviews focused on risk management. Federal and California-specific regulatory updates will help you stay current on critical policy shifts, including special presentations with CAHF and HSAG. Attendees will also learn about an age-friendly approach to managing congestive heart failure and gain practical insights into California’s new psychotropic medication consent form—a must-know topic for prescribing clinicians. Our signature In-the-Trenches series take their deserved spotlight with lively discussions featuring the following topics: Behavioral Health in LTC, Challenging Medical Cases, Medical Treatment for Substance Use Disorder in SNF, Open Evidence, Wounds, 5M Framework in Long Term Care, Becoming an Expert Witness, How to Operationalize Age Friendly Healthcare, Informed Consent Form, and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
