The CALTCM Summit for Excellence is designed to engage and benefit direct care practitioners - all members of the post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) interdisciplinary team and administrative leadership. Engaging content is available for the entire interdisciplinary team and in-person meetings will allow a dynamic and experiential learning experience. Varying clinical topics and three “In the Trenches” sessions give you the opportunity to personalize your educational experience and interact with program faculty and other participants.

This year's annual meeting is focused on person-centered care across the pillars of well-being, offering a diverse range of topics, including:

  1. Physical Wellness: Parkinson's Disease, Osteopathic manipulative medicine, and the future of medicine and technology advancements.
  2. Mental Wellness: Substance abuse, alcohol, and opioid use in LTC, antipsychotic justification, and strategies for promoting mental well-being.
  3. Social and Spiritual Wellness: Learn about healthy aging with a focus on social connection and spiritual well-being, as well as successful conflict resolution techniques.
  4. Intellectual and Environmental Wellness: Discover the benefits of person-centered care and the importance of deinstitutionalizing the LTC setting for promoting intellectual and environmental wellness.

Attendees will walk away with science-backed knowledge and actionable care delivery tips to support holistic health across physical, emotional, cognitive, social, spiritual, and environmental well-being. In addition to these enriching sessions, the CALTCM Summit for Excellence will also provide updates on medicolegal and policy matters.
