It is often stated that the long term care industry is second only to the nuclear power industry as it relates to regulatory requirements in California.  Many companies that provide long term care also provide services across the continuum inclusive of assisted living facilities (ALFs).  Recently the spotlight has shifted

towards ALFs increasing the likelihood of new regulations affecting this industry on the horizon.  Here is an example of care that resulted in fatal complications. Is it time for more medical direction in the RCFE setting?
